This item is exclusively for our clients who currently have a formula for custom recipe with us, but have not placed an order (defined as paying for an order) within the previous 12 months. At YouBar, we rely on our clients to keep their accounts active by placing at least one Purchase Order ("PO"), or R&D test run, at least once a year.
This is the cost to re-activate the recipe vis-à-vis compliance rules and quality assurance regulations when more than 12 months has lapsed. As a company, we are subject to various rules (ie; those created by the FDA), which are ever-evolving and so we cannot keep formulas "live" for more than 12 months from the date of either mastering the formula, or last producing the formula. Formulas must complete R&D within 6 months of instigating R&D and so re-activation is usually not available if an account went dormant prior to mastering formulas. However, YB can sometimes make exceptions to this on a case-by-case basis.
This price includes re-starting the R&D process and requisite full new organoleptic analysis, water activity level testing and full nutritional database analysis for up-to-date labeling, and one new round of prototypes from our innovation kitchen. This price also includes the requisite new compliance review on packaging.
Please note: This does NOT include the cost of efficiency testing, if required. Please also note that this is only available for recipes that are no more than 2 years old. If a recipe has been inactive for over 2 years then it cannot be re-activated and new development will be required. This cost is per SKU and so if you are re-activating more than one SKU/flavor then more than one re-activation process would need to be engaged.
