Before moving into a full production run, custom ball formulations typically need to undergo a large scale machinery efficiency test. This step ensures that your product is compatible with production equipment and performs as expected at scale.
This test run is designed to evaluate how large scale manufacturing impacts key product attributes, including shape, color, and texture. It provides a clear and realistic preview of how your formulation will translate from bench development to full production. It is also helpful at evaluating potential run speeds.
The price listed reflects the cost to conduct this efficiency analysis per flavor or recipe.
As part of this process, you will receive one box of finished samples (12 pieces total) produced on large scale equipment for review and approval. Please note that these samples are intended specifically to demonstrate how the product runs through machinery, rather than to serve as final retail ready units.
In the event that the product does not successfully run through the equipment, our team will provide detailed recommendations to adjust the formulation. A subsequent test run may then be conducted to validate those changes.
Typical lead time for this process is 8 to 12 weeks.
